Message from the Clerk:
The Western District of Texas covers an area over 91,000 square miles and comprises seven divisions. It is an honor to serve the judges, the bar of this Court, and the members of the public in this great district. The Clerk of Court is charged with maintaining court records, providing case information, explaining and publicizing court procedures, providing courtroom and case management support, and administratively supporting the Court.

Federal Court Practice Seminar in Austin

Federal Court Practice Seminar

Presented by the Austin Chapter of the FBA and the Austin Bar Association. This seminar presents the nuts and bolts of federal-court practice, with a focus on practicing in the Western District of Texas, as well as timely topics, including electronic filing, federal sentencing, and electronic discovery. The seminar satisfies the course requirement for admission to the Western District of Texas.
- Time: 8:00 a.m.–4:15 p.m.
- Location: Austin Bar Association, 816 Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas
- Featured speakers: federal judges, experienced civil practitioners, criminal prosecutors, and federal public defenders.
- MCLE: [Pending] 7 hours, including 1.00 hour of ethics
- Cost: $150.00; free to current FBA members who register before February 10, 2012. Registration forms postmarked after February 17, 2012 must include an additional $15.00.

Attorney Renewal Fees have been suspended.

The Attorney Renewal Fee requirement has been suspended until further notice. There is no requirement, at this time, to send in the renewal fee to the U.S. District Clerk's Office.
