All courtrooms for the Western District of Texas U.S. District courts are equipped with microphones at the podium, prosecution and defense tables, witness and Judge. All courtrooms are equipped with assisted listening devices for users that are hard of hearing or need interpretation services.
If an attorney would like to present video evidence in court, please ensure below that the courtroom possesses the ability to do so. Attorneys are required to bring their own adapters if needed. If the courtroom has a portable presentation cart, please let the courtroom staff know as soon as possible prior to your trial date so the cart can be reserved for use.
Attorneys must provide their own technical assistance in preparing presentations. The Court is not responsible for troubleshooting compatibility issues arising from equipment (e.g. laptops, personal devices) not supplied by the Court.
In the event the Court’s equipment malfunctions, do not attempt to troubleshoot the problem. Inform the courtroom deputy who will contact the Audio/Visual department for technical assistance.
