Admission to practice in the Western District of Texas is covered in Local Rule AT-1, Admission and Discipline of Attorneys. It will also be necessary for you to contact the attorney admissions clerk in the division office in which you intend to apply. Each division has specific requirements that may be different from those specified in the local rules. Do not mail your application until all required letters and certificates are included. Information regarding fees can be found on our Fees Schedule page. All attorneys licensed to practice in this District are reminded of the provisions of Local Court Rule AT-9 which requires any attorney who changes his or her business address to file with the clerk a notice with the proper attorney name, law firm name, new address and telephone number. All admitted attorneys are required to update their e-mail addresses, mailing address, and phone number online by logging into the Texas Western CM/ECF Filer or PACER login. If you are unable to log into CM/ECF to update your record, please complete the E-mail Notification Update Form and return it to the CM/ECF Help Desk.
